کتاب «خلاقیت در فرایند طراحی معماری»به تالیف علی خیابانیان کتابی جامع از فرایند طراحی معماری، ترسیم دیاگرام،تولید ایده، تبدیل ایده به فرم، کانسپت، ساختار معماری، تکنیک های ارتقاء خلاقیت،اسکیس های مفهومی تفکر معماری و تجسم خلاق است.
این کتاب که در نوع خود در میان کتاب های منتشر شده به زبان فارسی کم نظیر است این روزها مورد توجه دانشجویان و اساتید معماری قرار گرفته، در جایگاه کنابی کمک آموزشی کاربرد یافته است.

علی خیابانیان دانش آموخته معماری از دانشگاه آزاد تبریز است و سابقه تدریس معماری و انتشار مقالاتی در این حوزه را در چنته دارد؛ وی معتقد است «پایه معرفتی و مبانی نظری هر حرفه ای نیاز به ساختار اولیه قوی دارد، که می تواند نمودی از کارکردها و تجربه های عملی و ذهنی بشر در طول تاریخ باشد. این مبانی بر هنرمند بودن و بر باورهای فردی معماران به خصوص با تاکیدی خاص در مورد معماری «خوب» و «درست»، نشان دهنده نوع جهان بینی و نحوه تفکر آنان است؛ تفکری که متشکل از مجموعه اطلاعاتی که از جهان هستی در ذهن ایشان نقش بسته است و در صورت بالفعل شدن با استفاده از ابزاری نمایشی سه بعدی، متشکل از مجموعه روابطی که ما را به عینیت نزدیک می کنند، می توانند بیانی از وجوه مختلف یک کالبد معماری را برای ما ایجاد کنند و در عین حال چنین اندیشه کاملی، در تعاملاتی که با چرخه هستی برقرار کرده است پویایی خویش را حفظ کرده و همیشه در حال نو شدن است...».
